Designteam was challenged with creating an elevated and aspirational experience first for valued Polestar Canberra customers. The event was timed with the National launch phase of the Polestar 5 alongside the transition to a new Canberra dealer partner, marking an important evolution for the Polestar Canberra community. Designed for select 150 guests while remaining intimate, the experience set the tone for the continued success of the Polestar brand.
Navigating this transition period and evolution was central to the project. The experience needed to be community-driven, building brand advocacy while aligning with Polestar’s core values of design, sustainability and performance. It was important that this next chapter felt like an evolution of existing customer relationships, rather than a simple distribution of the product.
Personal. Meaningful. Memorable.
To achieve this balance, we developed a strategy centred on ‘the power of place’, utilising the sustainability and seasonal produce-focused Boat House on iconic Lake Burley Griffin as the backdrop. The venue was carefully curated across all areas to reflect Polestar’s minimal design philosophy while setting the tone for the evening. Multiple brand touchpoints were integrated throughout, beginning with Polestar 3 and dual Polestar 4 products featured at the entrance to establish an immediate sense of arrival. This focus continued with a fireside chat featuring Polestar brand ambassadors and business leaders, strengthening the relationship between Polestar and all guests. High-end hospitality comprised a modern Australian locally sourced menu with local beverages, grounding all aspects of the experience within the ACT.
The result was a fully subscribed, high-impact, personal and intimate evening. Guests were left with renewed excitement and warmth for the brand, stronger connections with each other and brand ambassadors, and clear confidence in Polestar’s continued evolution and place within the Canberra market.
