Polestar 5 Launch Australia has been recognised in the 2026 Australian GoodDesign Awards, Australia’s longest-running international design awards, for excellence in design, innovation and impact.
This year’s Awards are presented under the theme Design that Leads - celebrating the critical role of design in navigating complexity, driving innovation and creating positive change.
At a time of unprecedented social, environmental and technological change, this year’s theme recognises that good design is more than an outcome, it is a powerful way of thinking, imagining and acting. It challenges us to question what is, envision what could be and design better products, services, places and systems for people and planet.
Among this year’s Award Winners is Polestar 5 Launch Australia, which received a prestigious 2026 Australian Good Design Award Winner in the Built Environment Installation Design category.
JURY COMMENTS:
“The Jury commends this refined and confidently executed launch installation that successfully amplifies the sophistication and design ethos of the Polestar 5. The restrained spatial composition demonstrates a strong understanding of visual hierarchy and experiential pacing, with careful placement of graphics and digital displays creating a theatrical backdrop that frames the vehicle without overwhelming it. The Jury recognises the effective integration of storytelling throughout the experience, particularly through specialist panel discussions that add intellectual depth and authenticity. The choice of industrial heritage setting creates compelling contrast, allowing the vehicle's precision and sculptural quality to stand out with heightened clarity while maintaining cohesive visual language aligned with the brand's minimalist aesthetic.”
